Poul Henningsen
Poul Henningsen (1894 - 1967) is a multifaceted designer: an architect by training, he also works as a writer and journalist. His influence on Danish cultural life and innovations in lighting made him legendary.
Since his architectural studies, his quest for ideal, diffuse and warm lighting has not left him. He spent almost ten years of his life looking for a way to obtain it. This is how the lamps of the “PH” range were born, characterized by their multiple lampshades.

They met with worldwide success, particularly following their presentation at the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts in 1925, in Paris.
A designer with insatiable creativity, he developed a total of more than a hundred lamps for this range, the most famous of which are the “PH Artichoke”, the “PH Snowball” and the “PH 5”.
