A hybrid publication, between monograph, artist's book and catalog, documenting the entire work of Nathalie Du Pasquier.
Edited by Luca Lo Pinto

Published following Nathalie Du Pasquier's personal exhibition at MACRO in Rome (Museo di Arte contemporanea di Roma), then at Mrac Occitanie, Sérignan, her largest exhibition to date which brought together more than a hundred paintings, sculptures, drawings and engravings, from the early 1980s to today, this book oscillates between exhibition catalog and artist's book by juxtaposing photographs of the works of Nathalie Du Pasquier, installation views of the exhibition at MACRO and extracts of texts by various writers and personalities fundamental to his practice.

These elements come together to create an extension of the exhibition itself, in a form that translates the spirit of the exhibition: the pages become exhibition spaces welcoming associations and combinations that allow understanding and deeper exploration of Du Pasquier's work, and his imagination in the broad sense.

It is a glimpse into the possibilities offered by his work, which can be approached, interpreted and experienced from countless angles. It is the very immensity and variety of his work and his inspirations that makes the exploration of his work – and therefore this publication – non-exhaustive.
