“The blue sky is my first work of art” Yves Klein
In homage to Yves Klein, the Ressource publishing house creates the Yves KleinⓇ painting inspired by the famous IKB (International Klein Blue)
After extensive research, Ressource developed this vibrant and luminous shade, with the support of the Yves Klein Archives.
This very special shade, which stands out so much from other blues, is not only color, it is also light and matter. It was therefore essential for Ressource to develop an innovative process to regain this extraordinary shine.
To do this, Ressource was inspired by the work and research of Yves Klein. The Ressource laboratory has developed a process in 2 inseparable steps: a specially developed undercoat comparable to the action of the binder “The blue sky is my first work of art” that Yves Klein used.
From “this blue, more than blue”, a colorful vibration radiates. Out of the ordinary, it not only engages the viewer's gaze, it is the mind that sees with the eyes.

1928
The blue sky of Nice saw the birth of an artist who would pay homage to him throughout his life: Yves Klein.
1954
At 26, this son of painters whose first vocation was to be a judoka, decided to devote his life to Art.
MONOCHROMY
Driven by the idea of “liberating color from the prison of the line”, Yves Klein turns to monochromy. For him, it is the only way of painting that allows him to “see what the absolute was visible”.
Favoring the expression of sensitivity more than figuration in form, Yves Klein goes beyond any artistic representation and conceives the work of art as the trace of the artist's communication with the world.
THE PASSION FOR BLUE
According to Yves Klein, “Blue has no dimension, it is out of dimension, while the other colors do. All colors bring associations of concrete ideas. While blue at most recalls the sea and the sky, what is most abstract in tangible and visible nature. Blue will thus become his signature.
1957, CREATION OF THE IKB
Yves Klein creates International Klein Blue. From this “blue more than blue” radiates a colorful vibration which not only engages the viewer’s gaze, “it is the mind which sees with the eyes”.
Klein Blue is a blue, more blue than blue, luminous, vibrant and captivating. Out of the ordinary and of incomparable intensity. It was created by the color merchant Edouard Adam, for and with the artist Yves Klein, fascinated by pure, matte and luminous pigment. Klein blue is composed of a fluid paste binder and an ultramarine blue pigment: "the most perfect expression of blue", according to the artist.
It is from this famous binder that the intense luminosity of Klein Blue comes.
1962, ONE MORE STAR IN THE SKY OF NICE
Yves Klein's life was that of a shooting star: a quest for freedom and a daring which will considerably mark the world of Art.
