Montant Pier System by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec

The upright is the frame of the system: an anodized aluminum profile 209 cm high, 2 cm wide and 3 cm thick, on which the shelves are placed. A complete column requires two; a column added next to an existing one requires only one, as it shares the neighbor's: this explains why an additional module is 80 cm wide while a standalone column is 82 cm.

It can be ordered individually or in a set of two. In natural anodized or black anodized aluminum.

The piece on which everything else is mounted

The upright is not sold separately by chance: it is what you buy to expand a composition, or to assemble a custom one using elements from the series. All other parts of the Pier System attach to it and can be moved vertically without having to dismantle anything else.
