At Montana, color is part of the furniture. The current palette features 41 lacquer colors and 2 wood veneers, designed in 2019 with the Danish designer Margrethe Odgaard, a graduate of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and winner of the 2016 Torsten and Wanja Söderberg Prize.

Montana Show modules in amber, mint, lilac and bordeaux lacquers

All lacquers are water-based, a choice Montana made back in 2007. The Montana system carries the EU Ecolabel and the Danish Indoor Climate Label. Montana has manufactured its furniture in Haarby, on the island of Funen, Denmark, since its founding in 1982.

Each lacquer has its own finish: an appearance (matte, velvet, semi-gloss, gloss, iridescent matte) and a texture (smooth, micro-structured, structured).
