Santos rosewood chair
Original vintage model, Herman Miller edition, 2000

This chair is the result of the initial experiments carried out by Charles and Ray Eames starting in 1945 on plywood molding.
It was described as an "aesthetic brio and technical inventiveness" by Eliot Noyes, director of the Department of Industrial Design at MoMA in 1946.
Created through plywood molding, it was designed to provide optimal comfort for as many people as possible. The Eameses studied the bone structure of the human body to perfect their molding.
Modeled and tested hundreds of times, the final chair consists of two parts: the backrest and the petal-shaped seat.
The LCW (Lounge Chair Wood) is produced by Herman Miller in the United States and under license by Vitra in Europe.
Thanks to the organic lines of the shells and the slightly flexible backrests, these light and compact lounge chairs are extremely comfortable.
