Pavilion AV37 counter stool by Anderssen & Voll

Same seat as the AV36, mounted at 68 cm: the height that goes with a counter or an island of approximately 90 cm. Without a backrest, it stores entirely under the surface when not in use.

Furniture designed for a specific space

Pavilion was not born from an abstract brief. &Tradition asked Anderssen & Voll to refit Copenhagen's Langelinie Pavillonen, a 1958 building by Eva and Niels Koppel that hosts banquets and seminars. Hence the constraints that shaped the series: stackable, light to move, sturdy enough for intensive public use, and discreet enough not to compete with the architecture. The result consists of two materials, bent steel tubing and press-molded veneer, assembled with visible hardware.
