Pavilion was not born from an abstract brief. &Tradition asked Anderssen & Voll to re-equip Copenhagen's Langelinie Pavillonen, a 1958 building by Eva and Niels Koppel that hosts banquets and seminars. Hence the constraints that shaped the series: stackable, light to move, sturdy enough for intensive collective use, and discreet enough not to compete with the architecture. The result consists of two materials, bent steel tubing and press-molded veneer, assembled with visible hardware.

&Tradition
&Tradition est un éditeur danois fondé à Copenhague en 2010 par Martin Kornbek Hansen. Son catalogue suit deux lignes : la réédition de classiques du design danois et des créations contemporaines. Côté patrimoine, la maison édite la suspension Flowerpot dessinée par Verner Panton en 1968, le fauteuil Little Petra conçu par Viggo Boesen dans les années 1930, ainsi que des pièces d'Arne Jacobsen et de Jørn Utzon. Côté création, elle travaille notamment avec Space Copenhagen, auteur du canapé Fly, Jaime Hayon et Luca Nichetto.
