À propos de Bruno Rey
Bruno Rey is a Swiss designer born in Brugg. A carpenter by training, he attended the interior design class at the Zurich School of Applied Arts under Willy Guhl, before opening his own studio in 1968. Three years later, he designed a wooden chair for the Swiss manufacturer Dietiker that required no screws for assembly: die-cast aluminum parts connect the seat to the legs. Marketed as the 3300 model, it became the most widely distributed Swiss chair of its century. Since 2022, HAY has been reissuing it in collaboration with Dietiker, resized and available in ten water-based lacquer finishes, accompanied by a stool, a bar stool, a table, and a coffee table.
