Placing your lamp wherever you settle in, without cables or outlets: that is the promise of the Rumée 220, the cordless lamp designed by Gabriel Tan for Louis Poulsen. A contemporary, nomadic piece that extends the Danish brand's tradition of soft lighting.
Gabriel Tan, from industrial design to Louis Poulsen
Gabriel Tan's (born 1982) career path is surprising: initially trained to become a combat officer in the Singapore Navy, he discovered his vocation by chance after coming across design books in a public library – and changed his path completely. A 2007 graduate in industrial design from the National University of Singapore, he has since established himself on the international scene, ultimately collaborating with Louis Poulsen.

A lamp free to move
Rechargeable and easy to transport, the Rumée 220 moves from the living room to the bedside table, from the desk to the terrace, according to the moment. Its dimmed light creates a bubble of intimacy wherever it is placed, and its muted colors – Midnight Blue, Cloud White, Earth Grey – blend into any interior.
