Clessidra wall lamp by Antonio Citterio

Clessidra is housed in a 24 cm high cast aluminum cylinder, closed at both ends by PMMA diffusers that direct light upwards and downwards. Its IP55 protection rating allows it to remain outdoors, on a facade, under an awning, or along a path, but there is nothing to prevent it from being used indoors: it is exactly the same wall light for an entrance, a stairwell, or a bathroom. This dual use is the beauty of the model; one can outfit the interior and exterior of a house with a single luminaire.

Two beam angles to choose from. The 20° version creates two tight, sharp, and graphic cones of light on the wall. The 40° version widens them, providing a softer wall wash. Three painted finishes are available: glossy white, grey, and dark brown, the latter two being those intended by Flos for outdoor use.
