Fromme Stool by Tom Chung

The smallest piece in the collection designed by Tom Chung, the Fromme stool condenses its construction: a die-cast aluminum seat supported by an extruded tubular base, all protected by a matte-grained powder coating treated to be UV-resistant, allowing for both indoor and outdoor use. Its 2.6 kg weight makes it easy to move from side table to guest stool with one hand, and it can be stacked six high when space is limited. Shock absorbers housed under the seat soften contact with the metal, and the manufacturer offers a five-year guarantee. It is available in the 23 colors of the Petite Friture palette, to be matched or mismatched.

A collection inspired by racing bikes

Tom Chung, a passionate cyclist, designed Fromme by drawing on the components of a bicycle frame: profiled aluminum tubes, lightweight and rigid, assembled with precision. Small shock absorbers placed under the seat absorb movement and give the metal an unexpected comfort: this is the technical signature of the entire collection. The aluminum is recyclable, and the matte-grained powder coating is resistant to both water and UV rays.
