Fromme Bench by Tom Chung

The bench extends the Fromme collection to 159 cm: a die-cast aluminum seat set on the extruded tubular base characteristic of the family designed by Tom Chung. Its matte, textured powder coating, which is water and UV resistant, makes it just as suitable for an entryway or the foot of a bed as it is for a garden table, and the shock absorbers placed under the seat provide the flexibility usually missing from metal benches. At 9.3 kg, it remains manageable for a piece of this length. It naturally accompanies the Fromme rectangular table and is available in the 23 colors of the Petite Friture palette.

A collection inspired by racing bikes

Tom Chung, a passionate cyclist, designed Fromme by drawing on what makes a bike frame: lightweight and rigid profiled aluminum tubes, assembled with precision. Small shock absorbers placed under the seat absorb movement and give the metal unexpected comfort: this is the technical signature of the entire collection. The aluminum is recyclable, and the matte textured powder coating is both water and UV resistant.
