Love In Bloom is an anatomical heart transformed into a vase by Marcantonio: the ventricles serve as a reservoir, and the severed arteries become necks into which stems are inserted. The mold reproduces the contours of the organ—protruding veins, a rounded wall—and the flower takes the place of blood. The piece is available in white porcelain, gold porcelain, a colored version, and transparent glass, where the water and stems are visible.
