Naoto Fukasawa

Le designer

Naoto Fukasawa

Naoto Fukasawa, né en 1956 à Kōfu, est diplômé en design de produit de l'université d'art Tama en 1980. Après huit ans chez Seiko Epson, il rejoint ID Two, devenu IDEO, dont il ouvre le bureau de Tokyo en 1996, puis fonde Naoto Fukasawa Design en 2003. Sa notion de « Without Thought » décrit des objets qui se révèlent dans l'usage plutôt qu'au premier regard ; en 2006, il organise avec Jasper Morrison l'exposition Super Normal. Il a dessiné pour Muji, dont le lecteur CD mural, ±0 ou B&B Italia, ainsi que la chaise Hiroshima. Directeur du Japan Folk Crafts Museum depuis 2012 et codirecteur de 21_21 Design Sight, il reçoit le prix Isamu Noguchi en 2018. Pour HAY, il signe la famille de luminaires Pao.

Fondée à Milan en 1957 par Bruno Danese et Jacqueline Vodoz, Danese Milano veut réunir art et design dans un projet à la fois culturel et industriel. Bruno Munari, Enzo Mari et Angelo Mangiarotti y signent des classiques, du calendrier Formosa au porte-crayons Lampedusa.
