À propos de Nisse & Kajsa Strinning

Nisse Strinning (1917-2006), architect and inventor, and Kajsa Strinning (1922-2017) are the creators of the String shelf. In 1949, it won a competition launched by Bonniers Folkbibliotek, which called for an affordable shelf that was easy to ship and assemble. In 1954, String received a gold medal at the Milan Triennale, and in 2020, the Long Life Design Award in Japan. Nisse Strinning worked until his death: his final design, String Pocket, was launched by String Furniture in 2005.
