Fromme Wood Lounge Chair by Tom Chung

The Fromme Wood lounge chair places a beech plywood shell on the collection’s low aluminum base: a 40 cm seat height, shock absorbers under the shell, and the same relaxed geometry as the aluminum version, with which it pairs effortlessly. Five finishes: black or reddish-brown stained beech, Alpi veneer in the Sottsass pattern, upholstered seat in ROHI’s SHAKE fabric, or black leather. An indoor piece, for a reading nook or around a coffee table.

Fromme Wood: wood meets aluminum

The Wood version replaces the aluminum seat with a beech plywood shell, set on the same aluminum base: it pairs very well with pieces from the all-aluminum version. The Upholstered finish covers the seat in SHAKE fabric from the German manufacturer ROHI, with its shimmering surface; the Leather finish wraps it in black leather; the Alpi finishes feature a reconstituted wood veneer from the Italian manufacturer ALPI, whose Sottsass pattern stems from the collaboration between the brand and Ettore Sottsass in 1980, at the dawn of the Memphis movement. This version is for indoor use only.
