Martin Parr spent 4 years documenting the Black Country, from 2010 until late 2014. "West Bromwich" is taken from the photo book "Black Country Stories" - published to coincide with the Black Country Stories exhibition at The New Art Gallery Walsall and Wolverhampton Art Gallery. One of the particular focuses of the series is portraiture. Here is Norman Soper, who won the prize for best pot of jam at the Sandwell Show.
