Jochen Holz

Jochen Holz is a German glass artist who now lives and works in London.
He initially trained as a scientific glassblower in Germany, but went on to complete a BA in Applied Arts at the Edinburgh College of Art and an MA in Ceramics and Glass at the Royal College of Art. Specializing in lampworking, he transforms high-quality glass tubing into unique glassware and one-of-a-kind lamps.
Because he allows the process and materiality of molten glass to play a central role in his practice, his work exhibits a great deal of spontaneity.
