De Pas, D'Urbino, and Lomazzi formed one of the founding studios of Italian radical design. For Zanotta, they designed the Blow inflatable armchair in 1967, the Gomma armchair in 1970, the Sciangai coat rack in 1973—winner of the 1979 Compasso d'Oro and held at MoMA—and the Giotto stool in 1975. Their pieces share a penchant for objects that fold, inflate, or adjust.
