Its structure and legs are made of steel. The seat rests on elastic straps and the padding is made of polyurethane foam. The cover is completely removable: a black zipper allows it to be quickly taken off for cleaning or replacement.
The chair is also designed with its end-of-life in mind: it can be dismantled, separating it into its various materials, which facilitates their recycling.

Patricia Urquiola
Patricia Urquiola est née en Espagne en 1961 et travaille à Milan, où elle a ouvert son studio en 2001. Formée auprès d'Achille Castiglioni, elle dessine du mobilier, des luminaires et des aménagements pour les grandes maisons italiennes, avec un goût marqué pour les matières et les formes souples.

Cassina
Cassina est fondée en 1927 à Meda par les frères Cesare et Umberto Cassina. À partir de 1948, la maison sépare conception et fabrication et travaille avec des architectes extérieurs, à commencer par Gio Ponti, dont la chaise 699 Superleggera, produite dès 1957, ne pèse que 1,7 kg. En 1965, elle commence à éditer les meubles dessinés dans les années 1920 par Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret et Charlotte Perriand. La collection Cassina I Maestri, lancée en 1973, réunit ces archétypes du XXe siècle et des œuvres de Gerrit T. Rietveld et de Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
