Slit coffee table XL Ø 65 cm

The "Slit" coffee table combines aesthetics and functionality. It brings a touch of brightness and modernity to any living space. Its robust yet lightweight design makes it easy to move, perfectly suited for daily use. Ideal for contemporary living rooms, it can serve as both a surface for decorative items or as an elegant focal point in your room.

The design

HAY does not credit any designer for the Slit series: the brand signs it with its own name. The design lies in the structure itself: a thin frame that appears folded beneath the tabletop, reminiscent of paper folding.

The Slit series is not attributed to any external designer: HAY does not name any author on its Slit page, and the series does not appear on any of its designers' profiles. The company works with independent designers on a large part of its catalog and signs the rest with its own name, generally for pieces where function dictates form. That is the case here: a tabletop and a thin frame that seems folded underneath, inspired by paper folding techniques.
