Fineline duvet cover

“The Fineline duvet cover combines classic stripes with soft organic cotton, bringing elegance and comfort to the bedroom.”: HAY

Eleven sizes are available, from 135 × 200 cm to 240 × 220 cm, covering standard French duvet sizes as well as larger Nordic standards.

Organic percale cotton

Fineline is woven from 100% organic percale cotton, a tight weave that results in a material that feels crisp to the touch with a “freshly ironed” look. The yarn is dyed before weaving (yarn-dyed), which deepens the color and makes it more durable over time than fabric printed after the fact. The fine stripes that give the series its name come from this construction.

The design

The Fineline series is not attributed to any external designer: HAY signs it with its own name and its product page carries no author credit. This is common for the publisher, which works with independent designers for part of its catalogue and designs the rest itself. What makes the piece here is the weave: a cotton percale, dry and crisp to the hand, with threads dyed before weaving: this is what supports its colors.
