Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Breton designer brothers based in Paris, have worked together since 1998. Ronan graduated from the École supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and Erwan attended the École nationale supérieure des Arts in Cergy before creating their own studio. Together, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec have transformed the design sector and offered new perspectives in materiality and purpose. For Hay, they designed the Palissade collection, the Palissade Park collection, the Copenhagen collection, the Can sofa, the Élémentaire chair and the Balcony collection.

The HAY brand was founded in 2002 in Denmark by the couple Rolf & Mette Hay.
