Outdoors, it must be dismantled as soon as the temperature drops below 0°C and stored in a dry, frost-free place. It consists of a part embedded in the floor and a visible part.
Brushed stainless steel can be maintained with a simple damp cloth; a special stainless steel cleaner can be used if necessary. Alcohol, bleach, thinners, and chlorinated detergents should be avoided, as they discolor or corrode the surface, as should scouring powder and abrasives, which would alter the brushed finish.
