The acronym "MT3" in English is pronounced "empty," and emptiness is the key element of this project. This monobloc polyethylene chair is distinguished by its hollowed-out volume, revealing its interior finished in two colors. This bold result is made possible through a two-stage rotational molding process. Initially, the polyethylene of the exterior shell's color is molded. Then, a second color is inserted, without fusing with the first, through an operation carried out in high-temperature furnaces.
After being extracted from the mold, a five-axis laser cuts the side ends of the product, exposing the two-tone side of the "MT3" chair. This piece is designed for indoor and outdoor use, offering both durability and style.

Naviguant sans complexes entre art, design et architecture, Ron Arad est un artiste libre et impertinent qui se définit lui-même comme "No Discipline". Né à Tel-Aviv en 1951, ce Londonien d'adoption a imposé un style reconnaissable entre tous, largement dominé par la courbe comme en témoigne son fauteuil Big Easy (1988, Moroso) ou son étagère Bookworm (1994, Kartell). Ron Arad fonde son premier studio One Off Ltd en 1981 avec Caroline Thormann.
