CAB 412 chair by Mario Bellini

The Cab 412 chair, designed by Mario Bellini in the 1970s, has become a bestseller and a centerpiece of Cassina's I Contemporanei collection. It is a new type of chair, constructed entirely of leather, recognized for its unique self-supporting leather structure and inspired by the way skin fits the human skeleton.

The chair's upholstery is made up of sixteen pieces of saddle leather, hand-processed through fourteen distinct procedures. The cover, attached to the chair's steel frame by a zipper, ensures a perfect fit, reminiscent of a tailored garment.

Today, the Cab 412 chair is available in several versions, including a deeper XL model and a Baby version, crafted with the same precise expertise. In addition, new Plus saddle leathers are offered, with varied color options and a hand-applied gradient effect.
