Palissade Cord retains the collection's powder-coated steel frame and replaces the steel slats with recycled polyester cord, hand-woven onto the chassis in a tone that matches the frame's color. The change is not merely decorative: the cord deforms slightly under weight to contour to the body, whereas the slat remains flat, making the seat more flexible without adding a cushion. The weave allows water and air to pass through just like the open-slat design, so the seat dries just as quickly. The symmetrical geometry and proportions remain exactly the same as the original version: the two versions can be mixed around the same table. This lounge sofa measures 139 cm long by 88 cm deep, with a low seat at 38 cm and a reclined backrest: the same dimensions as the original Palissade sofa, with which it forms a cohesive lounge set.
