Extra Bold Sofa by Big Game

It goes straight, turns, ripples, coils, and weaves everywhere. Tube by tube, the Extra Bold sofa changes shape and color at your beck and call. Alternating between its 15 bold or soft colors, or creating subtle gradients, it will satisfy all your color, formal, and comfort expectations. Multicolored like a Verner Panton Living Sculpture, graduated like a Rothko painting, or monochrome like an Yves Klein piece, the Extra Bold sofa is far more versatile than any other.

Whether it’s a matter of following curvilinear architecture, navigating around a fixed element in a space, or conforming to the precise design you have in mind, the Extra Bold sofa will take on the shape and size you have envisioned.
Initiated with the chair in 2009, the Bold collection now embarks on a new path with the Extra Bold sofa. It deploys a new construction logic and a new plastic toolkit, going beyond the interlacing line principle of the chair, stool, bench, and armchair before it.

A new development in research on the functional applications of the continuous line in furniture design that has been ongoing since 2009, the Extra Bold sofa introduces the notions of sequence and repetition and twists them to the point of turning them into plastic tools serving a polymorphic and organic whole, visually freed from the rationality inherent in its modular principle. In the manner of a musical piece by Philip Glass or Terry Riley, the Extra Bold sofa achieves the feat of giving rise to a narrative ensemble built through the repetition of identical, regular pulsations and short motifs.
