Brushed stainless steel can be maintained with a simple damp cloth; a special stainless steel cleaner can be used if necessary. Alcohol, bleach, thinners and chlorinated detergents should be avoided, as they discolour or corrode the surface, as should scouring powder and abrasives, which would alter the brushed finish.
