Little Cactus® is one of the quintessential symbols of radical design.
The scale model is perfectly identical to the original, featuring the 2165 tufted areas that decorate the stem and arms of this otherworldly coat rack. The color was obtained by carefully studying the original green to reproduce it, thus giving design enthusiasts the chance to own, albeit in a smaller version, a limited-edition design piece that is now sold out.

L'architecte turinois Guido Drocco et Franco Mello, né à Gênes, dessinent en 1972 le Cactus, portemanteau en polyuréthane souple devenu un emblème du design radical italien. La boutique propose ses déclinaisons chez Gufram, de Another Green Cactus aux Guframini et à l'édition avec Paul Smith.
La maison
Gufram
Gufram est fondée en 1966 dans la région de Turin par les frères Gugliermetto, fabricants de meubles. La maison ouvre son atelier à de jeunes architectes et artistes turinois et fait de la mousse de polyuréthane sculptée un matériau de mobilier. Présentées en 1968 à la Triennale de Milan sous le nom de Multipli, ses pièces sont des objets d'art reproduits en série limitée, comme le canapé Bocca de Studio 65 (1970), l'assise Pratone de Ceretti, Derossi et Rosso (1971) ou le porte-manteau Cactus de Drocco et Mello (1972). Depuis 2012, Gufram est installée à Barolo.
