“Designed for HAY by John Tree, the Annex Flush table combines balanced proportions with architectural strength: a versatile table that adapts to any space and any situation.”: HAY
On the Flush version, the base is flush with the edge of the tabletop. This is the most compact version in the series: tabletops 80 cm wide starting from 80 cm long, and a high-top height of 105 cm for standing use.
The base and tabletop
The base, consisting of tubular legs and a frame, is made of solid oak or aluminum. HAY specifies that the aluminum is “made from at least 75% post-consumer scrap and extruded in Europe.” The glides are adjustable, which compensates for uneven floors.
As for the tabletop, the series offers water-based lacquered oak, linoleum, laminate, and a composite material. HAY notes that the range includes “Kvadrat’s Really Textile Tabletop™, made from 70% end-of-life textiles.” Linoleum is the choice for spaces used daily: matte, warm to the touch, and repairable. Lacquered oak is the most domestic option.
HAY describes the design as drawing on “the logic of traditional farmhouse tables, reimagined with a technical and modern sensibility.” Integrated cable management is available as an option from HAY: please contact us.
