The piece measures 26 cm in diameter and 24.2 cm in height. The shape is compact, almost as wide as it is tall: the pendant hangs only a short distance from the ceiling and remains usable in a room with standard ceiling height, above a work surface or the end of a table where an elongated lampshade would obstruct the view. The diameter remains modest: Cut & Paste marks a specific spot in the room, and is well-suited for places where you want to set a focal point rather than a pool of light.
Recycled cardboard is the material specified for the lamp, and it is what creates the contrast with the expected form of a light fixture. The light bulb is not included with the pendant: it must be chosen and purchased separately before installation.

Annebet Philips est une designer néerlandaise, diplômée avec les félicitations d'un master d'ingénierie du design industriel à l'université technologique de Delft. Elle dessine du mobilier et des objets, et édite chez Seletti, Mogg, Tonone et Tommy Hilfiger ; son travail a été montré au Salone del Mobile de Milan et à la Mint Gallery de Londres. Elle résume sa démarche d'une phrase : interpréter les choses ordinaires de manière extraordinaire.
La maison
Seletti
Seletti est un éditeur italien fondé en 1964 à Cicognara, dans la province de Mantoue. La maison édite du mobilier, des luminaires, de l'art de la table et des objets de décoration, et revendique un lien entre design et pop art en détournant les icônes du quotidien. Elle collabore avec des designers et artistes comme Marcantonio, auteur de la Monkey Lamp, Tatiana Brodatch ou Codalunga. En 2014, elle lance Seletti wears Toiletpaper, des assiettes, mugs et nappes qui reprennent les images du magazine créé par Maurizio Cattelan et Pierpaolo Ferrari.
