Primate kneeling stool by Achille Castiglioni

Primate is a kneeling chair designed by Achille Castiglioni in 1970. The structure is made of rigid polyurethane on a black polystyrene base; the padding is flexible polyurethane, and the stem is stainless steel. You sit on it halfway between a seated and kneeling position. It is upholstered in Ecofire fabric or category 95 leather. It is featured at the MoMA in New York, the Museum für Gestaltung in Zurich, the Vitra Design Museum, the Musée National d'Art Moderne in Paris, and the Triennale di Milano. As a guide, it measures 50 cm wide, 80 cm deep, and 47 cm high. The specific color can be selected on our Fabrics and materials page and must be confirmed with us before production begins.
