Lire la suiteThe Za:Za Bed takes up the silhouette of the Za:Za sofa that Zaven designed for Zanotta in 2022: full, edgeless volumes, and a headboard that hangs like a resting cushion. The base and headboard are made of MDF padded with regenerated and recyclable polyester spheres, and the outer cover is completely removable. The inner lining is also made of regenerated polyester. Two versions share this design: reference 1750 features a storage compartment under the bed base, accessed by lifting the platform with an assisted mechanism; reference 1751 omits this and features height-adjustable corner supports, on which separately supplied bed bases rest. Both come in three mattress widths. The specific color is selected on our Fabrics and Materials page and confirmed before production begins.
On the 1750 version, the bed base is made of aluminum-colored varnished steel, and its suspension consists of curved beech slats mounted in nylon joints, with firmness regulators. This supporting frame allows the entire unit to be lifted with one hand to reveal the storage space. The 1751 version does not have this frame: it is delivered without a bed base, making it lighter and less expensive for the same size, but requiring the provision of separate bed bases.
