Tetris Mirror 2.0

The Baroque mirror borrows its scrollwork frame from the 17th century, molded in polyurethane over a MDF core, and imprints it with an image from Toiletpaper magazine instead of the expected gilding. The quirk lies in the confrontation of these two registers: a chateau-style ornament and an ironic fashion photograph. The size is that of a formal reception-room mirror, one hundred and twenty centimeters wide, designed to be hung horizontally above a console or fireplace. The molded polyurethane reproduces the relief of a carved frame at a much lower weight than solid wood, simplifying wall mounting. The Seagirl motif is one of the studio's recurring images, featured elsewhere in the collection on bags and textiles.
