Lire la suiteLas Vegas is a classic column with a lit-up capital. Fabio Novembre summarizes the project in one sentence: "the capital lights up with a life of its own, it lights up like an idea, freeing the object from any structural pretext." The column no longer supports anything: it illuminates. The shaft is made of fiberglass, the capital of porcelain, combining the lightness of the former with the translucency of the latter. The manufacturer offers two versions with the same 28 cm diameter: a 50 cm high piece, which serves as both a lamp and a side table since its capital forms a tray, and a 190 cm piece that functions as a floor lamp-column. The former is placed next to a sofa, the latter requires high ceilings and an open corner. The manufacturer also lists a replacement Las Vegas light bulb, E27, 8 W, 230 V, under code 01535L, as well as a porcelain capital as a spare part; however, the manufacturer does not publish the electrical specifications of the complete lamps.
