The Design
Charles and Ray Eames were an iconic designer couple of the 20th century. Far ahead of their time, they contributed to the democratization of designer furniture for the general public, notably through the invention of new industrial manufacturing techniques that allowed for mass production.
We owe them numerous iconic design pieces from the 1950s and 60s that combine comfort and ergonomics: the famous Lounge Chair, the DCW (Dining Chair Wood) chair, and the RAR (Rocking Armchair Rodbase) rocking chair.
