Cosmic Diner Saturn dessert plate by Diesel Living

Cosmic Diner brings the solar system to your plate: each piece features an image of a celestial body, from the Sun to the moons of Jupiter and Saturn, rendered in porcelain. The design covers the entire surface, including the rim, making each piece as much a work of art to be admired as a functional item. The diameters follow the logic of a complete dinnerware set: 16.5 cm for dessert, 23.5 cm for the soup plate, 26 cm for the dinner plate, and 30 and 36 cm for the serving platters. Since no single item repeats the same celestial body, a mismatched table setting is the intended way to use the collection rather than an accident. The range extends beyond tableware with the Starman vase, a porcelain astronaut from the same universe.

A 2016 collection

Cosmic Diner was introduced in January 2016: plates depicting the Sun, the Moon, and the planets, complemented by rocket-shaped grinders, meteorite glasses, and an astronaut vase.
