HAY describes the Colour Crate as "a series of colourful storage crates with a distinctive, ventilated design," made "from 100% recycled post-consumer plastic." It is the simplest storage item in the HAY catalogue: a ventilated crate, seven sizes from S to XL including cubes and squares, and about twenty colours. Place it on a shelf, stack it on the floor, or slide it under a bed or desk. Recycled, ventilated, stackable plastic
All plastic crates and lids in the series are moulded from 100% recycled polypropylene: HAY specifies 100% recycled post-consumer plastic, meaning plastic sourced from household waste collection, not factory scraps. The ventilated walls make the crate lightweight, allow you to see what is inside, and serve as handles. The crates "can be stacked on top of each other regardless of size," stored on a shelf, table, or in a cupboard, and "fold flat when not in use."

20 colours: off-white, grey, warm grey, anthracite, light yellow, greyish yellow, red, burgundy, blush, powder pink, dusty pink, lavender, mint, dark mint, sage green, dark green, soft blue, greyish blue, electric blue, dark blue.
