Pack Chair 11 by Jasper Morrison

“Designed for HAY by Jasper Morrison, Pack Chair 11 is a contemporary reinterpretation of the wooden trattoria chair. […] Delivered flat-packed, the chair's considered construction ensures easy and intuitive assembly, while the seat cover adds the tailored appearance and comfort of an upholstered seat.”: HAY, regarding the Pack Chair 11. It uses the same frame as the Pack Chair 10, with a covered backrest (oak veneer or colored shell) and a seat fitted with a fabric or leather cover.

The recycled polypropylene shell

The molded seat and backrest are made of 80% recycled post-consumer polypropylene mixed with wood fibers: HAY notes that this mixture “reinforces the material and lends the surface a subtle, natural tactility.” The base is made of solid oak, either oiled or water-based black lacquered. Delivered flat-packed, assembly requires no special tools.

Backrest and upholstery

The backrest is available as a colored shell matching the Pack Chair 10 (five shades), or in oak veneer: oiled or black lacquered depending on the chosen base. The seat is fitted with a cover in Remix or Steelcut fabric, or Grano leather, in the colors offered by HAY for this series. Each combination has its own visual in the gallery above.
