The Steel Speaker is handcrafted by blacksmith Jonas Majors in his workshop on the island of Mörkö, south of Stockholm. The Steel Speaker is a heavy, 20-kilogram beast. It is intended to manifest the power of our great loudspeaker acoustic platform through its mere presence. The electronics industry seems overcrowded with black boxes. Consequently, we saw our challenge as turning the black box into a sculptural piece of craftsmanship that elevates a contemporary interior rather than violating it.
