Mirror 083 Deadline Who's Afraid of Red by Ron Gilad

Ron Gilad presents the Deadline mirror collection, an assortment of 12 works of art that questions who we are and what we see. Produced by Cassina, Deadline is a series of square, rectangular, and long mirrors that are both functional and decorative. They play with light, shadows, shapes, and colors. The two layers of glass in conjunction with a reflective lacquer give these mirrors a surprising effect with unique reflections. Each mirror can be displayed individually or in a composition.
The panes feature a silvered (reflective) rectangle on the front that is slightly offset on each layer. The back of the rectangle is lacquered in red, which is reflected by the back panel, creating fascinating graphic effects that change depending on the viewing angle. The frame can be disassembled for cleaning the mirrors and features visible joints that accentuate the expertise of the craftsmen.
