It is based on a concept that the designer summarizes as "light born from shadow": a powerful light, directed without the source being visible, reflected by the room's walls rather than projected from a visible point.The floor lam...

The floor lamp emits light upwards and downwards, thanks to an anti-glare optical module with a replaceable lens. Touch sensors integrated into the top of the central stem adjust the intensity of each emission separately. It is built from aluminum and PMMA, and stands 170 cm tall. This version features the Deep Green finish; Emi is also available in off-white, deep red, and deep blue.

Le designer

Erwan Bouroullec

Erwan Bouroullec est un designer et artiste français installé à Paris, formé à l'École nationale supérieure des arts de Cergy. Il codirige avec son frère Ronan le Bouroullec Studio, un duo qui a, selon HAY, « transformé l'industrie du design » ; leur travail international couvre le mobilier, l'architecture et les œuvres d'art, avec « une approche techniquement réfléchie pour créer des designs flexibles et fonctionnels ». Pour HAY, Erwan Bouroullec a dessiné la collection Traverse, lancée en 2025.

La maison

Flos

Flos est fondée en 1962 à Merano par Dino Gavina et Cesare Cassina, avec Arturo Eisenkeil, qui importe des États-Unis une résine plastique projetée, le « cocoon ». Son nom, du latin « fleur », est choisi par Pier Giacomo Castiglioni. Dès 1962, Achille et Pier Giacomo Castiglioni dessinent pour la maison le lampadaire Arco, la lampe Taccia et le lampadaire Toio, avant que Tobia et Afra Scarpa ne rejoignent l'aventure. À partir de 1963, Sergio Gandini dirige l'entreprise, installée à Brescia.
