Hybrid is a porcelain collection in which each piece is cut in two: on one side, a traditional Western design, and on the other, a motif from Eastern ceramics, with the seam running through the middle of the object. The CTRLZAK studio, which designed it for Seletti, summarizes the intention in one phrase: "when East and West meet," with decorations stemming from a complex past evolving toward contemporary forms. In concrete terms, it is two blue-and-white repertoires meeting on a single surface.

Each piece has its own name and can be combined with the others without ever forming a matching set: that is the principle of the collection. The first wave borrows its names from Italo Calvino's invisible cities—Valdrada, Isaura, Zenobia, Fedora—the second, known as Hybrid 2.0, from archaeological sites around the world—Mitla, Lothal, Djenné, Nazca. Both mix together on the same table.

The material is bone china, a fine, translucent porcelain, according to the manufacturer's specifications. The collection extends beyond the table: cushions, placemats, and three hand-painted porcelain ceiling lamps.
