Superonda Sofa by Archizoom Associati / L 240 cm

Designed in 1966 by the radical Florentine group Archizoom, it was the first sofa without a conventional frame. It is composed of two waves made from a polyurethane block cut into two parts with an S-shaped incision, which can be nested and stacked to create various configurations. The lightness and modular design allow for a range of diverse uses: Superonda can be a sofa, a bed, or a lounge chair. Like many pieces designed by the Archizoom group, it defies bourgeois conventions, stimulating the user's creativity and imagination. The shiny faux leather cover in the primary colors of white, black, and red accentuates its pop image.
