Viewed from the front, the seat is clean and angular; the piping that highlights its edges is what gives the piece its design. HAY describes it as a "compact and space-saving, yet light and spacious" sofa.
The low backrest (H 72.5 cm) leaves the room feeling open: this is the version to place in the middle of a living room without cutting it off. The high backrest (H 108 cm) encloses the seating and provides isolation; it is the choice for creating a corner within a large space or a public area. The width and depth are identical in both cases.
The high backrest is not available in the series' four leather qualities (Sierra, Sense, Nevada, Grano). This is a manufacturing limitation at HAY, not a choice on our part.
Three finishes for the turned legs: oiled solid oak, black powder-coated steel, chrome-plated steel. The choice is made from the menu above and does not affect the price.
The piping can be ordered in three finishes, at no extra cost: black leather, cognac leather, or matching the fabric of the shell. Please specify this in the order comments along with the fabric reference: we will confirm before production begins.
At HAY, the price of an upholstered sofa depends on the price category of the upholstery, not the color. Within a category, the choice of color is free and incurs no extra charge. Swatches can be viewed in-store.

GamFratesi
Stine Gam, danoise née en 1975, et Enrico Fratesi, italien né en 1978, tous deux architectes, fondent GamFratesi à Copenhague en 2006 et croisent tradition scandinave et culture italienne. La boutique propose la famille Yuh éditée par Louis Poulsen et le canapé Silhouette de Hay, en 2 et 3 places.

HAY est un éditeur de design danois fondé à Copenhague en 2002 par Rolf et Mette Hay. Les deux fondateurs en assurent toujours la direction artistique, Rolf pour le mobilier, Mette pour les accessoires. La maison travaille avec des designers contemporains comme Ronan et Erwan Bouroullec, auteurs de la collection d'extérieur Palissade, Stefan Diez, Hee Welling, créateur de la série About A Chair, ou Louise Campbell, dont la Prince Chair de 2002 est entrée au MoMA. Depuis 2019, l'américain Herman Miller, aujourd'hui MillerKnoll, en est l'actionnaire majoritaire.
