The Drawing 19 poster by Ronan Bouroullec features fluid, abstract forms created with marker strokes, which give the whole an impressive sense of depth and dimension.

For Ronan Bouroullec, drawing is a relaxing, even meditative process, where he gives free rein to his intuition and creativity without planning the shapes in advance. Thus, the forms are not defined by a precise beginning or end, which can give rise to multiple interpretations.

The Drawing 19 poster is a lithograph printed on Fedrigoni Splendorlux paper, using a technique that gives the colored ink a matte appearance on the glossy surface of the paper, reminiscent of Ronan Bouroullec's original drawing technique.

Le designer

Ronan Bouroullec

Ronan Bouroullec, né à Quimper en 1971, étudie à l'École nationale supérieure des arts appliqués et des métiers d'art. Son vase Soliflore entre au Centre Pompidou dès 1996, et Giulio Cappellini le remarque au Salon du meuble de Paris en 1997. Rejoint par son frère Erwan, il fonde avec lui un studio parisien qui dessine pour Vitra, HAY, Flos, Cassina, Magis ou Kvadrat. En parallèle, il dessine depuis l'enfance : le dessin est devenu pour lui « une sorte de compagnon », une pratique instinctive et libre. Ses dessins ont été montrés à la Galerie kreo, à la Licht Gallery de Tokyo, à la Casa Mutina de Milan et au Centre Pompidou en 2024 ; l'Art Institute of Chicago en conserve. The Wrong Shop en édite des tirages.
