Supercurve Big Flower illuminated mirror by BBMDS

Supercurve is a mirror featuring a frame made of a curved neon plexiglass profile that follows the outline of the glass and houses an LED strip along its entire length. The frame is therefore not a simple border: it provides the lighting, with light emitting from the translucent edge rather than a visible source. As the material is both reflective and translucent, the piece changes significantly depending on whether it is switched on or off: when off, it reads as a colored mirror; when on, as a wall lamp. The range comes in four silhouettes, two flowers and two rounded rectangles, and the large format can be placed on the floor or mounted on the wall. Distributor Nedgis specifies that the tall model features a non-replaceable LED of less than 36 W, 3,600 lumens at 3,000 K, dimmable, with a two-meter cable and for indoor use; the manufacturer notes that the frame and the mirror are available separately as spare parts. As electricity specifications depend on the model, they are not included in the table below.

The design's origin

The manufacturer links Supercurve to the Italian radical design of the 1960s and 1970s and summarizes the intention in one sentence: "the mix of reflective, translucent, and neon materials creates a very fun mirror with minimal yet absolutely pop forms." The collection is part of the Superfurniture line.
