1939-2024 · Italien

Architecte et designer né à La Spezia en 1939, Gaetano Pesce a défendu jusqu'à sa mort à New York en 2024 l'idée d'une série où chaque exemplaire diffère des autres. La boutique propose ses objets en résine coulée de Fish Design, ses canapés Meritalia et plusieurs pièces éditées par Cassina.

La maison

Cassina

Cassina est fondée en 1927 à Meda par les frères Cesare et Umberto Cassina. À partir de 1948, la maison sépare conception et fabrication et travaille avec des architectes extérieurs, à commencer par Gio Ponti, dont la chaise 699 Superleggera, produite dès 1957, ne pèse que 1,7 kg. En 1965, elle commence à éditer les meubles dessinés dans les années 1920 par Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret et Charlotte Perriand. La collection Cassina I Maestri, lancée en 1973, réunit ces archétypes du XXe siècle et des œuvres de Gerrit T. Rietveld et de Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
